Yum Yum#23, pheno-hunted by ChrisCrossGenetics, is Zol Club’s exclusive cultivar, meaning it won’t be available at any other cannabis club or dispensary, unless they’ve been supplied by Zol Club. Cultivated indoors using hydroponic salts―in contrast to organic compost―it boasts a staggering 20.2% THC, comprising approximately 70-80% Indica and 20-30% Sativa traits. This strain belongs to the S1 (first filial generation) category, with its most recent genetic lineage tracing back to Peanut Butter Breath; a cross between Do-Si-Dos (also known as “Dosi Doe”, “Do-Si-Dos”, and “Dosi”) and Mendo Breath. In a deliberate backcrossing cultivation process, the goal was to incorporate a phenotype (ie, one of the offspring) with energizing characteristics, rather than the heavily intoxicated effect associated with the original Peanut Butter Breath. Backcrossing involves breeding techniques to reverse the sex of the female plant, allowing it to produce male pollen and self-pollinate.

Aroma-wise, Yum Yum exhibits subtle notes of earth, wood, clove, lemon, cheese, musk, and pine. The flower density is relatively open, with the color palette predominantly featuring light green hues with dark green accents and numerous orange pistils. The drying process exhibited with this product leaves the outer flower easily crumbled, while the core remains fresh, and so, curing by the user could enhance the product even further. Notably, the high pollen factor makes Yum Yum a strong candidate for producing live rosin.

Upon combustion, it’s a very smooth smoke, with the lineage quickly becoming apparent, given its noticeable peanut butter taste. Experientially, the graphic below illustrates the trajectory of the high.

Don’t be fooled by the initial mellow effect due to the gradual onset, as the intensity will continue escalating for some time. The powerful peak of the experience, akin to being pummeled by plush toys all over the body for some 20 minutes, left cognition fully intact—a major advantage compared to most other Indica-dominant strains. Memory recall, on the other hand, is impaired. The extreme physical effect of this genetic resembles drunkenness, exaggerating even slight ground inclines. While colours are enhanced and music enjoyment is heightened, creative thinking and aphrodisiac qualities take a backseat. Yum Yum is definitely not recommended for canna newbies, while seasoned users with high tolerances will appreciate its potency. Yum Yum is thereby suitable for more of a celebratory occasion, not your standard social function, and caution is advised in operating heavy machinery while medicated.
